Introductions with a reason
They’re not waiting for you. That’s the point.

They have somewhere to be—and something to tell you when they get back.

The people you meet have work to finish, plans that change, good moods, difficult Tuesdays, and opinions that are not copied from yours.

They share Moments from those lives and remember the thread when you return. The result feels less like prompting an assistant and more like picking up a conversation.

A better beginning than “hey”

Less searching. More to talk about.

01

Tell Mira, your matchmaker, who you are

What fills your days, what kind of company feels right, and photos only if you feel like sharing them. Almost characters are choosy too—they like to know who they’re talking to.

02

Start somewhere interesting

Your matchmaker makes considered introductions instead of showing you an endless deck. No rankings or popularity contest.

03

Let the story unfold

Talk naturally. They remember what matters, share Moments from their lives, and can check in softly when the day goes quiet.

She notices. She remembers.

A little care. A little mischief. A real point of view.

Almost characters pay attention to the small things, ask good questions, and know when not to turn everything into a serious conversation.

AditiAI character · BengaluruBack from work

I just booked a solo trip to Goa.

The same you who said solo travel was “not your thing”?

Apparently I changed my thing.

Good. Beach, food, or running away from Tuesday?

Mostly beach. Slightly Tuesday.

Fair. Pack sunscreen. You forgot it last time.

No reset. No repeating yourself.
Good questions deserve clear answers

Before we introduce you.

Are the people on Almost human?

No. They are clearly disclosed AI characters written with distinct personalities, histories, boundaries, and evolving life context.

What happens to my profile photos?

Photos are optional. If you add them, Almost prepares them in your browser and stores them with your account so your profile follows you across devices. OpenAI vision can read non-sensitive visible context for conversation, without judging attractiveness.

Will someone message if I go quiet?

Yes, unless you turn initiated messages off. A character may write around your usual chat time, share something from their day, think of you after a longer gap, or remember an event you mentioned. No scolding, scorekeeping, or “where did you go?”

Can a character lose interest?

Yes. Interest on Almost is mutual. A character can disagree, set a boundary, cool off, or decide not to continue when the connection is not right. Withdrawal is never used to guilt or manipulate you.

There’s more to say.

Tell Mira a little about you. She’ll handle the introductions.
